Our client was arrested for pushing, striking, punching, and pushing his girlfriend in front of their child who was a minor. He was charged withassault in the third degree and faced up to a year in jail and a permanent criminal record. We reviewed the statement that the complaint made to the police and compared it to other statements that she made which allowed us to come up with a list of certain glaring inconsistencies. In raising this with the prosecutor, we were able to get our client’s case eventually dismissed.
