Penn Station Exposure / lewdness charges dismissed for medial professional
2020
Our client was
arrested for allegedly masturbating with another person in a urinal inside Penn
Station. After giving the police a statement, he was
arrested and released with a desk appearance ticket charging him with lewdness
and exposure. He
contacted us for help when he realized that conviction could lead to a permanent criminal
record and up to a year in
jail. We filed a motion to suppress the evidence and force the prosecutor to
disclose the evidence they had against our client. After several months
of litigation, we successfully negotiated a deal to have our client plead
guilty only to the reduced and added charge of disorderly conduct, a violation
and not a crime, and there would be no
jail and no criminal record.
