Lewdness in the subway case dismissed for engineering professional (Manhattan)
2018
Our client was allegedly observed by many witnesses in a crowded subway
station engaging in lewd, sexual behavior. When the police apprehended
him, he was positively identified by eye witnesses. After he was released
from arrest, he appeared in court with a different lawyer. Our client
had no criminal record but the prosecutor was pushing for a criminal record
and up to a year in
jail. Initially, our client was represented by a different attorney but our
client wasn’t pleased with how things were going and
contacted us for help. After several months of litigating and fighting in court, we
noticed that the prosecutor made a procedural error and we successfully
pushed for a complete dismissal of the entire case. The case ended up
dismissed, no criminal record, no
jail, no probation.
