Grand larceny resolved in Queens with no jail, no felony

Our client was arrested for taking someone else’s credit card, a class E felony. Unfortunately, our client had a long criminal history and the prosecutor was initially pushing for a felony conviction and a state prison sentence. Our client contacted us as soon as they could. We successfully negotiated a deal to have the felony charges dropped in exchange for a plea only to a misdemeanor, probation, and community service but no jail.
