Our client, a City employee, was involved in a hit and run in the Bronx. After the accident, our client allegedly got out of the car and ran away. Our client matched the description of the person driving the car and was contacted by police. After contacting us, we took over representing our client and contacted the police to let them know that their suspect had counsel. As a result, the police were not able to obtain, or try to obtain, a confession from our client without going through us first. Following our client’s arrest, we maintained our client’s innocence and the case and all charges against our client were subsequently dropped by the Bronx County District Attorney.
